Warsaw-Poland's dominant natural gas producer and distributor PGNIG said Thursday it has signed a deal worth $220 million to buy Equinor's 42.38% stake in the ConocoPhillipsoperated Tommeliten Alpha gas and condensate field in the North Sea. PGNiG said the acquisition would allow it to increase gas production from its stakes in Norwegian fields by 0.5 Bcm a year during the first six years of production, which is expected to start in 2024.
