Taiwan may cut Iran crude supply to focus on US cargoes

Singapore-Taiwan took its second VLCC of Iran crude oil in July and a third cargo in September, but the re-imposition of sanctions against Iran are poised to shift trade flows and make the US one of the country’s top suppliers. Taiwan received 2.01 million barrels, or 64,901 b/d, of Iranian crude oil in July, data from the Bureau of Energy showed. The July cargo was loaded onboard the Helm and delivered to Taipei and Kaohsiung, where refineries under state-owned CPC Corp. are located, S&P Global Platts trade flow software cFlow showed.
