Basra-Iraq’s primary refinery, located in Basra, will soon double its jet fuel production, with most of the additional fuel destined for export markets, the director general of the state-run South Refineries Company said. Jet production at the 210,000 b/d Shuaiba refining in Basra will increase from 500-1,000 cu m/d (3,145 - 6,290 b/d), Hossam Hussein Wali told S&P Global Platts.
