Iran lures buyers with cheap oil as sanctions bite

Algiers-Iran is striving to price its crude more attractively even as the country’s exports continue to plummet ahead of US sanctions. While the weight of US sanctions starting again in November is expected to continue to pressure global refiners to shun Iranian grades, it increasingly looks like state-owned National Iranian Oil Company is doing all it can to price its crudes lower than other regional alternatives.
