London-BP has signed a preliminary agreement to partner with NIO Capital, an investment firm founded by leading Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO, to explore opportunities in emerging sectors such as electric cars and 'advanced mobility' technology. Under a memorandum of understanding, BP said it will look to establish a long-term partnership with the fund to pursue joint business opportunities in China and internationally.
