摘要

Karachi, Pakistan-Pakistan has lifted a ban on fuel oil imports for power generation after seasonal spikes in electricity demand resulted in planned power outages. The decision to end the import ban was made last week by the Pakistan’s Economic Coordination Committee following a decline in fuel oil stocks, slow domestic production and an increase in power demand while hydropower generation lagged, which combined led to power outages of six to eight hours a day.
