Vitol sees oil trading volumes slip in 'challenging' year

London-Vitol, the world's biggest independent oil trader, saw its crude and product trading volumes slip last year amid "challenging" conditions, the company said Monday. The privately-held trader said total crude and oil product volumes fell to 349 million mt, from 351 million mt in 2016, maintaining an average of over 7 million b/d.
