MOL to lift spending, aims for higher output in 2018

Budapest-Hungarian oil and gas company MOL said Tuesday it plans to slightly raise investment spending in 2018, focusing on a few areas in Central Europe and the North Sea as well as boosting output. MOL said in its fourth-quarter earnings report it is targeting $1.1 billion-$1.3 billion organic capital expenditure in 2018, up from just above $1 billion in 2017. Within the total, upstream capex is targeted at $450 million in 2018, up from a lower-than-planned $346 million in 2017.
