Gulf Keystone forecasts lower 2018 output from iraq

Dubai-Gulf Keystone Petroleum expects lower production from its Shaikan heavy oil field in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq, after investments planned for 2017 were pushed back, the company said Monday. Giving its guidance for this year, the London-listed company said it expected gross production of between 27,000 b/d and 32,000 b/d. Even at its highest, this is down nearly 10% compared to Shaikan’s actual average output in 2017 of 35,298 b/d.
