NYMEX launches London Brent trading

London-The New York Mercantile Exchange's open-outcry Brent futures contract launched in London Sep 12,beginning its direct competition with its electronic rival,the International Petroleum Exchange.The start-up of NYMEX's trading pit marks the return of open outcry trading to London after the IPE's controversial move to abandon pit trading and go fully electronic earlier this year.
