Houston—The oil and gas pipeline firm Energy Transfer said it will invest in a solar farm for the first time to power its operations as more of the sector is pressured to invest in the burgeoning energy transition. Dallas-based Energy Transfer said it signed a 15-year power purchase agreement for the electricity generated by the Maplewood 2 Solar Project in West Texas that’s expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.
