Moscow—Russia’s largest crude producer Rosneft said Sept. 10 it has started exploration drilling at its first independent, hard-to-extract hydrocarbons project in the southwest Orenburg region. Reserves at the project, which are part of the Domanik formation, are estimated at 70 million mt, or around 513 million barrels, of oil and 23 Bcm of gas, Rosneft said in a statement.
