Transneft starts work on raising Russian oil export capacity via Novorossiisk

Moscow—Russian pipeline operator Transneft said Friday that its subsidiary Chernomortransneft has started work on increasing oil export capacity via the Southern Russian port of Novorossiisk to 40 million mt a year, or around 803,000 b/d. This would be an increase of around 8% on current export capacity via the route, which is 37 million mt/year, or around 743,000 b/d. The work is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020.
