Population rise and growing water scarcity in India - revised estimates and required initiatives.

摘要

This paper presents the revised estimates and required initiatives to overcome the impending water scarcity in India. The estimates and initiatives were formulated based on the preliminary results of the 2011 census released recently by the Government of India, which shows higher population than the earlier projections.
