China’s national magnesiumingot output in January-August fell 23.44%year on year to 481,400 mt on a fall in the keyproduction zones, the China Nonferrous MetalsIndustry Association said in its monthlymagnesium report.Shaanxi province, the biggest Chinesemagnesium production base, produced283,300 mt in January-August, down 9.72%year on year. Shanxi province and NingxiaHui Autonomous Region, the second- andthird-biggest producing regions, produced62,600 mt and 52,800 mt, respectively,down 33.37% and 55.44% year on year, CNIAdata showed.
