July COMEX copper slips 2.50 cts as dollar, bond yields rise

COMEX copper futures closednearly 2.50 cents/lb lower April 23 as the USdollar and bond yields pushed sharply higheron expectations of rising inflation and higherinterest rates.Copper for July delivery, which willbecome the active month after end of April26 trading, closed 2.40 cents/lb lower at313.15 cents/lb after selling off steadily inLondon and early European trading.
