Molybdenum oxide prices edged higher again Oct. 5 in a relatively slow start to the week as some Asian market participants returned from the previous week’s public holidays. “Korea and Taiwan are back to work and this made the market a bit active,” an Asian trader said. “Still, people are very cautious, but there are no aggressive sellers seen in the market.” An Asian producer who was offering oxide powder at $8.30/lb said no one seemed to want to offer at the current low price. “The price in the EU is stable and good at the moment,” he added. “The market after the holiday in China will be interesting.”
