Damaged rail track interrupts ore supply to Rusal alumina refinery

Adverse weather conditions damaged a rail line interrupting raw material supply to the Achinsk Alumina Refinery in East Siberia, its parent company Rusal said June 10. Abnormally heavy and incessant rain in the Krasnoyarsk region eroded a railway embankment, damaging a section of the Achinsk-2–Nazarovo railway used by the Achinsk refinery to ship its raw materials in and its production out.
