London—Cyprus-based chrome and plati- num group metals miner Tharisa’s produc- tion of chrome concentrates, excluding third-party production, in its first-quarter ended December 31 rose 12.1% year on year and 0.2% quarter on quarter to 342,5000 mt. The Johannesburg-listed company also said Friday that full-year production guidance remained at 1.45-1.55 million mt of chrome concentrates and 155,000-165,000 oz PGMs (6E basis). Production of 6E (platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, iridium and ruthenium) platinum group metals increased 2.3% year on year but was down 9.5% quarter on quarter to 34,400 oz.
