UK gold miner Centamin misses 2019 production target

Johannesburg—British mining company Centamin’s full-year 2019 gold production from its Sukari gold mine in Egypt increased 1.7% year on year to 480,529 oz, even as it missed its guidance range of 490,000- 520,000 oz, with all-in sustaining costs up 7% on the year at $943/oz, the company said Thursday. The London-listed company said fourth- quarter gold production rose 8% year on year and up 51% quarter on quarter to 148,387 oz due to improved feed grade, metallurgical recoveries and year-end plant drawdown of gold-in-circuit, with all-in sustaining costs down 2% year on year at $792/oz on increased sales volumes.
