This represented an increase of Yuan 20 over the last week and Yuan 50 from a month ago. Support Monday from market talk that a spot trade had been concluded at Yuan 2,680/mt ex-works Shanxi/Shandong for 20,000 mt of alumina was short lived, as domestic metal prices remained soft Tuesday, market participants said.
