Yunnan gov’t approves Wenshan Aluminum’s bauxite project

Hong Kong—China’s Yunnan government has approved Wenshan Aluminum’s 1.33 mil mt/year new bauxite project located in Wenshan City, Yunnan Province, following gradual exhaustion of the producer’s old mine, the Yunnan branch of National Development and Reform Commission said in its website Monday. The project will take a total investment of Yuan 63.5 million ($9.1 million) to build, with all funds to be raised by the producer itself, the NDRC data showed.
