Washington—COMEX copper futures ceded recent gains on Tuesday, as the market seemed reassured for now that the labor strikes and protests in copper-production hub Chile would not have an immediate impact on copper supply, and as investors took profits. Copper for December delivery, the active month, fell 1.35 cents to close at 263.30 cents/lb, while the October spot month was off 1.30 cents at 262.20 cents.
