S&P Global Platts assessed weekly China copper premiums at $45-$55/ mt C&F China on Wednesday for London Metal Exchange-registered brands of copper cathode, unchanged from May 15. China import demand was lackluster in the absence of an open arbitrage window, in the face of prevailing US-China trade tensions, and as copper prices remained weak, market participants said.
