Air Products Signs Deal with Yankuang For Coal-to-Svngas Facility in China

Beijing-Air Products and Yankuang Group have entered into an agreement for a $3.5-billion coal-to-syngas production facility in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, China. Under the agreement, Air Products and Yankuang's Shaanxi Future Energy Group (SFEC) subsidiary plan to form a joint venture company, majority owned by Air Products, which would build, own and operate an air separation, gasification and syngas clean-up system to supply the SFEC site.
