London—Ineos announced plans to invest ?2.7-billion to build a worldscale ethane cracker and propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit complex in Northern Europe, the "biggest" capital investment ever made by the company. The complex, which will benefit from U.S. shale gas economics, is likely to be built on the coast of North West Europe, Ineos noted. A specific location will be decided "soon." Completion is planned within four years.
