Shanghai-Arkema said it plans to invest several tens of millions of euros to increase its capacity for Rilsamid polyamide 12 (PA12) polymers at its Changshu site in China. The project, expected to come on stream by mid-2020, will increase the company's global PA12 production capacity by 25% to support its customers' strong demand in Asia. "Arkema continues to reinforce its specialty polyamide business in all three major global regions-Europe, North America and now Asia," the company noted.
