Kuantan- BASF Petronas Chemicals, a joint venture of BASF and Petronas, has started up a new 50,000-t/y world-scale highly reactive polyisobutene (HR-PIB) production unit at its integrated site in Gebeng, Kuantan, Malaysia (PCN, 21-28 Mar 2016, p 1).
