PCBL Decides to Move Ahead with Plans For Carbon Black Unit in Tamil Nadu

Mumbai-Phillips Carbon Black Ltd. (PCBL), in announcing its results for the quarter ending 31 Mar. 2018, said it has started work on setting up a new 150,000-t/y greenfield carbon black plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (PCN, 28 Aug 2017, p 1). The Rs 600 crore facility is expected to be operational by 2020, reported the Times of India, citing PCBL Chairman Sanjiv Goenka.
