SAMAC Begins Commercial Operations At MMA and PMMA Plants in Jubail

Jubail-The Saudi Methacrylates Co. (SAMAC) has begun commercial operations at its new 250,000-t/y methyl methacrylate (MMA) and 40,000-t/y polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) units in Jubail, Saudi Arabia (PCN, 12 Feb 2018, p 2). SAMAC is a 50-50 joint venture of Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (MCC) and Sabic, which was established in 2014 to carry out the project.
