KBR Wins Ammonia Facility Contract For HURL's Planned Indian Project

Gorakhpur-KBR has been awarded an ammonia plant contract by Toyo Engineering for Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd.'s (HURL) new large-scale fertilizer complex to be built in Gorakhpur, India (PCN, 19 Mar 2018, p 1). KBR will provide the licensing and basic engineering design services for the project, which includes a 2,200-t/d ammonia plant, 3,850-t/d urea unit and a utility supply facility. Commissioning is scheduled for December 2020.
