BASF Suspending Production of TDI At Ludwigshafen Site in Germany

Berlin-BASF said it will have to stop production of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) at its site in Ludwigshafen, Germany, because of the low water level of the Rhine river. "The water level of river Rhine is currently on an all-time low, impacting transport by ship," the company noted. "Despite maximum shift to alternative means of transport (pipeline, trucks and rail), not all raw materials can be supplied to BASF's Ludwigshafen site."
