Shell Cutting Ties with AFPM After Review Of Its Climate-Related Policy Positions

The Hague-Shell announced it will not be renewing its membership with the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) in 2020, as a result of a review to identify differences in their climate-related policy positions. In line with Shell's goal to provide greater transparency around its activities related to climate change, and in response to requests from institutional investors, it reviewed its memberships of 19 industry associations in North America, Europe and Australia, Shell said.
