BASF Raises NPG Production Capacity At Its Verbund Site in Ludwigshafen

Berlin-BASF has increased production capacity for neopentyl glycol(NPG)at its Verbund site in Ludwigshafen,Germany.The project increased capacity of the NPG plant by 10,000 t/y,raising the company's total worldwide capacity to 215,000 t/y.BASF-YPC,a 50-50 joint venture of BASF and Sinopec,is currently expanding NPG capacity by 40,000 t/y to 80,000 t/y at its state-of-the-art Verbund site in Nanjing,China(PCN,1 Jan 2018,p 3).The new capacity is scheduled to come on stream next year.
