Petronas Agrees to Buy Da Vinci Group

Johor-Petronas Chemicals Group (PCG) has entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Da Vinci Group B.V., a specialty chemicals producer based in the Netherlands. The transaction, valued at €163-million, is subject to certain conditions precedent. Upon completion, Da Vinci will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of PCG. An expected closing date was not given.
