American Ethane Selects Beaumont For Project to Ship Ethane to China

Beaumont- American Ethane is planning to build a $1.5-billion ethane export facility in Beaumont, Texas, to ship 7.2-million t/y of ethane to China under a 2Q-year agreement sccording to a report on American Ethane's website. The terminal, to be located at a site owned by Martin Midstream Partners, will be designed to handle 10-million t/y of ethane from shale gas. Construction is expected to take around three years.
