Chiyoda, Kiewit JV Gets Notice to Proceed For Gulf Coast Growth Ventures Complex

Houston- Gulf Coast Growth Ventures issued a Notice to Proceed to Chiyoda International and Kiewit Energy to officially move forward with engineering, procurement and construction services for a new petrochemical complex in San Patricio County, Texas (PCN, 17 June 2019, p 1). A 50-50 joint venture of ExxonMobil and SABIC, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures' project includes a 1.8-million-t/y ethane steam cracker, two polyethylene facilities and an ethylene glycol unit. Start-up is expected by 2022.
