Moscow-Gazprom and Sibur have entered into a preliminary agreement for the supply of liquefied petroleum gas(LPG)and additional volumes of ethane fraction from Gazprom's Amur Gas Processing Plant(GPP),currently under construction in Russia,to Sibur's planned Amur Gas Chemical Complex(GCC).Sibur's GCC would be integrated with Gazprom's GPP in a single technology chain to process the LPG and ethane into polymers for the domestic and global markets.According to the preliminary agreement,Gazprom will supply 1.5-million t/y of LPG and ethane fraction to the GCC.As a result,Sibur will be able to increase its design capacity to 2.3-million t/y of polyethylene(PE)and 400,000 t/y of polypropylene.
