Novamont Boosts Production Capacity Of Mater-Bi Compostable Bioplastics

Patrica-Novamont has increased the production capacity for Mater-Bi compostable bioplastics to 150,000 t/y from 110,000 t/y though an expansion of its Mater-Biopolymer plant in Patrica, Italy. The production of Mater-Bi at Patrica will complement the current production of Origo-Bi, biopolyesters of renewable origin that are components of Mater-Bi, Novamont noted (PCN, 29 Oct 2018, p 3).
