Marubeni Corp.-Masumi Kakinoki, senior executive vice president and member of the board, has been appointed president and chief executive, effective 1 Apr. 2019. He will remain as a board member. Fumiya Kokubu, currently president, chief executive and a member of the board, will become chairman, effective 1 Apr. 2019, and will remain a member of the board. He will succeed Teruo Asada, who will become senior corporate advisor at that time.
