SI Group Enters into Agreement to Divest Industrial Resin Assets to ASK Chemicals

Albany-SI Group has agreed to sell the majority of its global industrial resin businesses and its Brazilian specialty business to ASK Chemicals, a Rhone Group company. The transaction, for which a value was not disclosed, includes Si's industrial resin products and associated manufacturing sites in Rio Claro, Brazil; Ranjangaon, India, and Johannesburg and Durban, South Africa, as well as licensed technology and multiple tolling agreements globally. The sale is expected to close later this year.
