Marl-Wood has been awarded a contract by Evonik to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for a polyamide 12 (PA12) production complex to be built at the Marl Chemical Park in Marl, Germany. The new PA12 plant, estimated to cost around €400-million, is expected to increase Evonik's overall capacity for PA12 by more than 50%. It will supplement the existing PA12 unit, without disrupting its production. Completion is planned in the first quarter of 2021.
