Jakarta-Chandra Asri Petrochemical (CAP) has been given a tax break for its $380-million investment in a new polyethylene (PE) facility in Cilegon, Indonesia (PCN, 12 Feb 2018, p 1). The 400,000-t/y swing PE plant, scheduled to achieve commercial start-up by the fourth quarter of 2019, includes the production of high-density PE, linear low-density PE (LLDPE) and metallocene LLDPE. The project will raise the company's total PE production capacity to 736,000 t/y.
