Budapest— Messer has won a contract from MOL Petrochemicals to construct an on-site plant to supply nitrogen and instrument air for a new polyol complex being built in Tiszaujva-ros, Hungary (PCN, 30 Sept 2019, p 1). The €1.2-billion complex will include a hydrogen peroxide to propylene oxide (PO) facility with a production capacity of 200,000 t/y of PO. The PO will be converted into polyether polyols and propylene glycols. Operations are due to begin in 2021.
