Calgary-Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. (CPChem) has offered to purchase Nova Chemicals from Mubadala Investment Co., its parent company, for more than $15-billion, including debt, reported Reuters citing people familiar with the matter. According to the report, Mubadala has been exploring the sale of Nova since the beginning of the year; however, there is no certainty that it will accept the offer from CPChem, the sources said.
