Majority of Gulf Coast Producers Report Minimal Impact from Hurricane Laura

Houston-As of PCN's press deadline, most U.S. Gulf Coast producers reported no major impacts from Hurricane Laura, which made landfall on 27 Aug. 2020. While most petrochemical plants and refineries are still being assessed for damage, the following companies pro-vided brief updates: ExxonMobil said its Beaumont, Texas, refinery, chemical plant and polyethylene plant remain safely shut-down. The company is conducing a preliminary assess-ment to determine the impact of the storm on its facilities. The Baytown, Texas, and Baton Rouge, La., units continue to operate safely and reliably.
