Sinopec Begins Ethylene Production At Zhaniiang Refinery, PC Complex

Sinopec Zhongke Zhanjiang Petrochemical has achieved on-spec production of ethylene, propylene and butadiene at its integrated refinery and petrochemical complex in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, China, reported Argus Media. The complex includes facilities for the production of 800,000 t/y of ethylene, 400,000 t/y of propylene and 120,000 t/y of butadiene, as well as downstream units for the production of 350,000 t/y of high-density polyethylene, 250,000 t/y/400,000 t/y of ethylene oxide, 100,000 t/y of ethylene vinyl acetate and 200,000 t/y of polypropylene.
