Nouryon to Buy J.M. Huber's CMC Assets; Will Sell Elotex Business to Celanese

Amsterdam— Nouryon has entered into an agreement to acquire the car-boxymethyl cellulose (CMC) business of J.M. Huber Corp. for an undisclosed amount. The business manufacturers a complete line of CMC grades and serves customers in over 80 countries. It includes a "world-class" manufacturing plant, as well as an advanced research and development facility in Aanekoski, Finland, Nouryon noted.
