Linde Starts up New ASU in Freeport To Supply MEGlobal's New EG Plant

Houston—Linde has begun operations at a new air separation unit (ASU) in Freeport, Texas, as part of a long-term agreement to supply MEGlobal's new world-scale ethylene glycol (EG) facility in Oyster Creek, Texas (PCN, 21 Oct 2019, p 1). The ASU will supply oxygen and nitrogen to the 750,000-t/y EG plant, which was officially started up last October. It will also supply Linde's extensive industrial gas pipeline system and add new argon capacity.
