KahlWax is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of natural waxes, including beeswax and carnauba wax, and countless other plant-derived waxes. 6614 TEA WAX is obtained by mild and eco-friendly CO2 extraction of the leaves of Camellia sinensis, which is cultivated across the world for green and black tea. It is a soft, dark-olive-colored wax with a medium melting range of 60-66 °C and a very distinctive natural scent and flavor, which can be utilized or easily masked. Similar to an emollient, Tea wax makes emulsions more substantial. It is also perfect for color cosmetic preparations, providing excellent pay-off and smoothness. A study with 12 volunteers showed that a body butter containing 3 % Tea Wax reduced the TEWL significantly.
